WhatsApp Rolls Out Call Feature’s Beta Version

With beta version of its ‘Call Feature’ launched on its company site, we can expect the instant messaging giant to soon roll out its call services for its end users.

The news was confirmed by BGR India. The technology news site informed that WhatsApp is beta testing the feature and will be unveiling the feature soon for its users.

So, as a WhatsApp user if you have already upgraded the version v2.11.508, but not been able to use the Voice calling feature, you are not alone. If you want to start using the feature, all you have to do is to call another person using the feature to tag you. Simply put, it’s like an invite thing, where a person who has a call feature needs to call another person who wants to start using the feature.

A glance through the screenshots reveal the calling features adds ons in the form of individual calls, chats and contact tabs at the top. The call interface will show the name and WhatsApp display picture of the user you are calling.

Providers of Instant Messaging Services like Telegram, Viber, WeChat and Line already have been offering free voice calling feature for sometime now. So, it won’t be wrong to say that WhatsApp took considerable time in launching this feature. However, what makes WhatsApp special is that it has 700 million users and its being owned by none other than Facebook.
