The study was conducted on more than 20,000 mobile applications, to check out their vulnerabilities and to compare the crash rates between different operating systems. Apple scored well in terms of overall crash rates, while Android scored most for most number of crashes on a single operating system.

The report was carried out by an independent firm with the objective of verifying the stability of apps on different operating systems. Besides the software and application part, the study also took into account certain hardware aspects of the various mobile devices, such as the RAM and the phone processor’s speed. In addition to this, the study also included the amount of internal and external storage within different mobile devices.
