It’s no more a wishful thinking.
Smartphones users can not only click pictures but can also print them in matter of seconds. Just bring home Prynt – touted to be the world’s first instant camera case for smartphones.
The smartphone market has been growing in leaps and bounds, contributing to the spread of digital photography in the process. But then, one of the side effects of digital photography is the death of good old printed pictures. There is no denying the effect a printed picture has on people won’t be the same with digital picture.
Prynt is new startup that’s seeking crowdfunding on kickstarter. The camera case currently is compatible with iPhone 5/5s/5c/6 and Samsung Galaxy S4/S5. Going forward, it may support more smartphones.
How does it work? If you are used to playing Polaroid cameras, then operating this won’t be much of a trouble. Just plug in your smartphone into the case, click a picture or use any existent picture and then print.
The device has its own battery. Plus, it operates offline and it doesn’t even require a bluetooth connection. The camera case is available in white, pink and blue colors and is available for a limited price of $99.
Each case holds 10 sheets of paper. Refills are possible through an app. Besides printing, the camera also records a short video before the photo gets clicked, and stores it in the cloud. So as and when you hold your phone over the printed image, the app will automatically scan and recognize it and will show a short movie on screen.
