HTC Gears Up For the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona with M9

With the Mobile World Congress (MWC) just a few months away, HTC, the Taiwanese device manufacturer, is all set to give birth to its new baby- the M9 aka HIMA. Though the company is not saying much on its upcoming successor to HTC One (M8), the online world is abuzz with reports that new smart-phone One M9 will be an upgraded version, as opposed to its predecessor M8, especially in terms of hardware.

In fact, there are rumors suggesting that the company might simply do away with the ‘One M’ series label and brand it as the new HIMA series. So the new phone, in all probability, will be labeled as HIMA.

Moreover, as a run up to the event the company has been sending out invites to all media houses in Barcelona, the host city for MWC.

The invitation reads – “Utopia in progress. Join us to see what’s next.”

The invite has sparked off massive excitement among fans who are looking forward to lay their hands on this upgraded version. Even Samsung is rumored to launch Galaxy S6.

The MWC will be one helluva event with 80,000 people expected to attend the even. This includes prominent executives representing mobile operators, vendors, content owners, device manufacturers and technology providers from across the world.
