Huawei Announces Its First Android Wear Smartwatch At The Mobile World Congress

Huawei Technologies released its first Android Wear smartwatch at the Mobile World Congress. As of now, the watch will be available in over 20 countries from mid-June 2015. Apple Watches will be launched in April. The price details of the smartwatch has not been disclosed.


The features include a 1.4 inch AMOLED touchscreen, 42mm round face with a 286 ppi. It would be available in gold, silver and black colors. Further, it would be available in different designs both for men and women and will have over 40 customizable watch faces.


The watch also comes with a heart rate monitor, 4GB of storage, 512 MB RAM and 1.2GHz processor, having a 6-axis motion sensor. It can be paired to any Andorid phone using Bluetooth L.


Besides the smartwatch, the company also unveiled two new wearable devices – Talkband B2 and activity tracker and N1 earbud Hybrid. Talkband B2 will keep track of walking, running and will also track sleep. The N1 is a set of earbuds that clip together using magnets, but it also provides additional activity tracking functionality. It comes attached with an accelerometer, for doing basic movement tracking.


The N1 is IP54 rated, so it’s can withstand splashes of water and will be dust-protected. It comes with 4GB of storage on board for music tracks, which can sideloaded or synced via the app.
