Hacked Uber Passwords Available for $1

Buy stolen Uber passwords for just $1 and enjoy car rides around the town for free.


The password is available on dark net sites such as AlphaBay, according to the Motherboard. The site is popular for selling illegal products like drugs and counterfeit goods. Along with the password, buyers also have access to partial credit card data as well as telephone numbers.


Motherboard further added, some of the accounts were still in use by Uber members. One vendor named Courvoisier reportedly has thousands of hacked accounts for sale. Uber has told Mashable that its’ investigating the issue and there’s seems no breach from its end.


“Attempting to fraudulently access or sell accounts is illegal, and we notified the authorities about this report,” Uber continued. “This is a good opportunity to remind people to use strong and unique usernames and passwords, and to avoid reusing the same credentials across multiple sites and services.”


Sometime back, the company suffered a security breach that apparently affected thousands of Uber’s driver. However, Uber has clarified that previous hack is in no way connected to the stolen passwords available online.


If you have an Uber account, update your password at the earliest.
