Google and BlackBerry Join Hands To Enhance Android’s Security

BlackBerry and Google will be coming together to enable a cross-platform EMM solution which will help manage devices that are fitted with Android for Work. For the starters, Android for Work is being used by Google to separate data and applications meant for business and personal use.

Google’s Android for Work creates a dedicated and secure profile both for business and personal data. The BES12 solution effortlessly integrates with the Android Operating System and enables containerization at a platform level. Simply put, Google’s Android for word aims to eliminate the need for application wrapping and at the same time offers easy access to services such as Google Now and Google Play store.

Blackberry is also working with Samsung to add another security layer to top end devices with the Knox EMM solution.

Blackberry and Google’s coming together will offer customers value added solutions. With the help of BES12 and Android for Work, customers can improve mobile security and productivity of their staff in their respective organizations. Additionally, users don’t have to worry about sharing personal data that would pose a threat to the security of their employees and their organization.
